Hotel Taschenbergpalais Kempinski Dresden

If you are looking for a place to stay in Dresden, look no further. The Hotel Taschenbergpalais Kempiski Dresden hotel has everything you need and more.

Location and history

Directly in the center of Dresden, the hotel is just a few steps from the Zwinger, the Semperoper and the Royal Palace.

The hotel’s building was built in the XVIII century by the Saxon king August “The Strong”  as a pledge of love to his mistress. The palace’s architecture is extremely elegant and sophisticated, both internally and externally. Since 1995, this marvelous building has been transformed in a beautiful 5-star hotel.

The room

The hotel offers 213 elegant guestrooms and spacious suites. During our weekend in Dresden we had the pleasure to sleep in a Junior Suite with a view on the Royal Palace. The room are spacious, elegant and have all the amenities to provide a perfect stay.

When we entered our room we found a welcome letter together with some typical cakes waiting for us. That was the moment when we realized that our stay at the Hotel Taschenbergpalais Kempiski Dresden was gonna be memorable.

Breakfast

Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day and I love a nice breakfast when I travel.

The ones we had during our weekend in Dresden are without doubts my favorites of all time. For breakfast you can either order the room service or enjoy your meal in the beautiful courtyard.

The first morning we ordered the breakfast in our room in order to enjoy the breathtaking view we had from our junior suite. I was expecting a great breakfast, but what arrived was beyond my expectations.

The way the food was presented on the tray was so perfect and well balanced. Pointless to say that everything was delicious. I particularly enjoyed the selection of cheese, cold-cuts and the pancakes!

The second morning we decided to go downstairs and have breakfast in the courtyard. The weather was lovely and we had the possibility to enjoy some champagne accompanied by croissants, scrambled eggs, waffles and so many other delicacies.

Spa

On the fifth floor of the building there is the wellness area, where it is possible to get a massage or to just relax by the pool. Inside this area there is also a bar if you feel thirsty and want a healthy smoothie.

Tea time

During our stay we also had the chance to enjoy an afternoon tea at the Café Vestibul, which is just in front of the beautiful baroque staircase of the hotel. Here you can take a delightful break when exploring the city. I totally recommend this experience if you want to enjoy selected tea specialties and exquisites caked and pastries while feeling like a royal.

Staff

The attention to every little detail, the service and the location are some of the key factors that make this hotel the best in town. We felt at home and taken care for the whole weekend and we will definitely go back.

The Taschenbergpalais Kempinski manages is a unique hotel that pays homage to its past while providing a great and unforgettable stay. Trust me when I say that you won’t find a better place in town where to stay!
